It was a bit stormy at the weekend. We had rain, hail and gale force winds but luckly our area has avoided the worst of the weather. During a lull in the weather in the afternoon i thought i would take the dog for a walk along the beach. Keeping up with name changing we shall call the dog Chewbacca, which is a bit strange becasue she is a minature poodle and not some great big hairy beast, but we shall skip over that for now.
So putting on my rain coat and trusty MP3 player we set of throught the holiday camp and onto the beach. The beach is wonderfull during the summer at about 9 inthe evening. Walking along just as the sun is setting, melting into the sea. However it was now the begining of November and it was still blowing a gale and trying to rain. But to my amazement the beach was full of fishermen. Bastards!!! I cant make my mind up if they are a brave breed or just nutters. they stand at the back of the beach and cast their lines into the raging sea. Its while walking along the beach that you find yourself suddenly garroted by an invisble fishing line. Why do they have to take up the whole of the beach? Why do they come out in the worst weather imaginable?
Anyway, avoiding overgrown gnomes we headed off down the beach. Actually its quite nice walking along. So after a while I decide to head home so I turn to go back. Bugger!! I am now walking into a gale force wind and my face is sandblasted. We trudge back.
During the summer its good walking throught the holiday camp becasue women seem atracted by my little dog. Although its hard to look cool when you are holding a bag of poo. There are no holiday makers here today thou. I have actually seen a family walking along the beach in the rain. They were walking along in their shorts and pacamacs while eating ice creams. I think it was a case of "We are on holiday and I dont care if it is pissing down with rain we are going to the beach!!"
Oh how i love the beach.

Lets get physical
I might have a mental age of an 18 year old but i still have the body of a 39 year old and it seems to be getting slightly bigger. i have always thought that keep fit isn't good for you. all these people who hobble about moaning they have done their backs, knees, legs, necks in by keeping fit. But i think i might have to have a little dabble soon before i get to 20 stone.
i did try it before by going to the gym with my mate. unfortunately he is a fit builder while i am a 10 stone weakling office worker. i struggled to lift the weights 10 times then stood back as he did 50. it was all a bit too depressing.
i have been biking to work for the last 2 years and i thought i would be really fit by now but i am still being overtaken by old men on penny farthings and kids on their trikes.
i was going to take up running but i get out of breath running for the bus. it is now dark at nights so i guess i will have to wait until next summer. (i know any excuse will do)
i think i will try sit ups and press ups. i will start with 2 of each and work my way up. by this time next year i could be up to 10 of each and look like Arnold Swarzenegger.
or like Robbie Coltrane.
well i'm off now to play football......on the playstation.

Say Anything
After reading some of the blogs I am feeling a bit out of my depth but I shall carry on being myself. which is easier online than in real life. i am in general a quiet person who is happy to go along with the flow. that is my problem i am too nice sometimes. if i am talking to someone about something that has happened to me then they always seem to interupt saying "oh yes that has happened to me" or "that happened to my friend" and they will take over the converation out their experiences. i will just stand there and say "hmm" and "oh right" before leaving while in ,my head i am screaming "SHUT IT!!!!" but i am too nice or too spineless to do this. perhaps people think i am boring???
I dont think i am boring its just i choose who i am freindly and chatty too. unfortunatley this number of people is dwindling. its not because i am shy its just these days i cant seem to be bothered. (i'll explain another time)
i have been thinking about the people who do talk a lot in my life and tho be honest they talk a load of crap. do i want to spend my life talking to anyone and everyone about crap things? no!
there are people who talk about the person who they met in the post office queue "and they said this and they said that, and did you know that her brothers cousins next door neighbour had a baby" no i didnt and i dont really care. People who go on endlessly about all the holidays they have been on. all the gory details of their car crash of a personal life. and things just repeated again and again and again. everytime the subject of films comes up one bloke just keeps telling me how much he hated the sixth sense. yes you have told me a million times!! when he leaves me and my mate are going to buy it for him on dvd for a present. ha!!!
so perhaps i am better off being quiet. perhaps it will make me more mysterious? or not!
This got me thinking about famous people who i would have to a dinner party. (sorry if you havent heard of some of these people but bear with me)
Eddie Izzard - comedian.
Witty, inteligent and very abstract view on life.
Derren Brown - magician illusionist etc
very entertaining and will totally mess with you mind.
Madonna
my all time great.
Johnny Depp
the greatest actor of our time
Keira Knightley
I am sure she would be charming and inteligent but frankly i wouldn't care less
Scott Mills
Radio 1 DJ
The funniest man on radio who makes me laugh no matter how i feel.
they would all be talking and i could sit there and say "hmmm really?" " wow"

This is me
wow this is scary putting down your thoughts so the whole world can read them, (if they come across this and actually read it.) This is my first blog so be gentle with me. Let me start my introducing myself. As you might have guessed my name is Paul and I live in Norfolk in England. (Norfolk is in the round sticky out bit on the right hand side of England) I am married with 3 children. To protect the innocent and spare the gulity lets call my wife Keira and the kids Leia, Han and Luke. I am 39 years old hence the name of my blog.
I was on Facebook the other day and sent a message to someone in America and thought it would be good to try and meet other people from other countries to see how they live. this is the reason I have dipped my toes into the great ocean of blogging.
Also this is some sort of record of me. I haven't done anything of importance or note worth being mentioned. I have nothing to leave behind, exept my 3 wonderfull kids so if people come across this then this is an insight of my life good and bad. If the person from America who suddenly got a message from some stranger out of the blue (hi TW from Boston) wanted to look me up then hopefully this will be a good starting place to see if I am a good personand some twisted freak. (hopefully the first)
over the next few blogs hopefully you can decide. Take care fellow bloggers. C U soon
